I had a hard time picking out a pair of cute and functional hiking shoes for and upcoming hike in Peru. I chose the Targhee II after reading about them in a recent Backpackers Magazine Gear Review (rated a best value) and various other online reviews. They are so comfortable! These shoes have the great support of a hiking boot (minus some ankle stability)and are also attractive enough to wear around town. Great arch support and functional heel fit system. I ordered 1/2 size up as others suggested and am happy with the fit when wearing a regular thickness hiking sock.

so comfortable.. you don't even have to break them in before your first hike. they feel great on your feet and you can walk for miles and miles! they also look great!

These are by far the best hiking shoes I have ever purchased they are incredibly comfortable from the first time you put them on. They have served me well this winter we have lots of snow and they have great traction and my feet stay perfectly dry! Very quick shipping too I got them within 3 days of ordering!

The heel on these shoes tends to slip but they are so well cushioned and the support is superb so that the slippage is not a problem. I find them extremely comfortable for walking my husky who likes to pull me along at a good clip.
