The North Face Men's Redpoint Jacket (16062) The North Face: Men's Redpoint Jacket (16062)

Designed as a technical insulator for ice climbing mountaineering and backcountry skiing the windproof Zip-in compatible Redpoint Jacket is a fast-drying synthetic alternative to down-insulated middle layers. Beneath the lightweight and breathable Keeler nylon ripstop shell is Primaloft® synthetic insulation a patented ultra-fine microfiber that absorbs three times less water than similar technical insulators. It's an ideal solution for anyone looking for a synthetic insulated jacket with a warmth-to-weight ratio similar to the high-fill down found in high-priced alpine jackets. The Redpoint compresses down into compact dimensions for easy packing. Elastic bound flex cuffs help seal in thermal warmth without sliding down your wrist on prolonged reaches.

The Redpoint Jacket was wonderful in Argentina Image: 5 Stars

This jacket is light weight (key for packing for a week's worth of sight-seeing) and warm enough to wear a golf shirt underneath even in 2C weather. It was versatile and it fit well. I made the right choice.

The Jacket is warm and very light. I have used it as my primary jacket and has served me well thus far. I have also enjoyed the packing feature. However the blue seems to be a bit brighter in person that it did on the picture. No real complaints.

Wore this jacket skiing in low 20s - teens temps. It was almost too warm. Kept me dry the whole time. Primaloft is way smaller than down jackets and keeps you just as warm. Perfect all around jacket!

The Redpoint jacket is a superb layer under a shell in cold weather. I am six feet tall and a large size fits well. The jacket is so comfortable to wear I barely know that I am wearing it. It packs well and I plan to use it snowshoeing and traveling in colder weather.

Great All Around Image: 5 Stars

This is a great all around jacket. We live on the shores of Lake Superior and this jacket does well so far (not cold yet) but it feels like it will hold up to the cold. It will layer great too. I like the look and fit. It is so light you hardly know it is on. I finally found my all around transitional jacket to wear through the fall-winter-spring seasons. The hunt is over.
